Product Details
Ground-mounted photovoltaic power stations—also known as ground-based PV plants or centralized ground-mounted PV systems—are PV systems constructed on open, undeveloped land rather than on buildings, with the primary goal of large-scale, centralized grid-connected power generation. They currently constitute the dominant form of PV capacity deployment and feature both standardization and versatile application scenarios. Such systems typically range in size from several megawatts upward and are connected to the high-voltage grid via step-up substations. Unlike rooftop distributed PV, they are predominantly sited in deserts, gobi regions, plains, hilly areas, and coal-mining subsidence zones, often integrated with agrivoltaics, aquavoltaics, or pastoral PV systems and paired with energy storage. The core operational flow is: photovoltaic modules → DC electricity → inversion by inverters → string-level collection and step-up transformation → connection to the main grid.
